Laser additive manufacturing of high performance metallic components
Laser additive manufacturing process presents its advantages in short development and production cycle, high materials utilization, excellent microstructure and properties. This process is especially suitable for rapid manufacturing of some difficult-to machine materials such as titanium alloys, nickel alloys etc. with small amount. The comprehensive mechanical properties of laser additive manufactured TC4, TC11, TA15, Ti2AlNb-base alloys reached those for wrought counterparts. The oxygen level of the self-established laser additive manufacturing systems is lower than 20 ppm, with forming range of 1500mm´1000mm´1000mm.
